Bank statement PDF import, a whole year at once
Drop in the PDF statements from the bank or card, and the transactions are read into the review table with the printed opening and closing balances checked. No CSV, no retyping.
From the PDF to the books
- Select one statement or twelve; each page's table is reconstructed and rows land in the same review table the CSV path uses.
- The statement's own opening and closing balance is read and compared with the imported rows before anything posts.
- Text-based PDFs from your bank's website work; a scanned image needs the CSV instead.
Every other format too
- OFX, QFX, QBO and CSV downloads from any Canadian bank, including Excel's CSV.
- Direct Excel import of the chart of accounts and transactions from QuickBooks Online and Xero, and IIF from QuickBooks Desktop.
Then reconcile
- Rules categorise repeat transactions with the HST code applied.
- Match against invoices, bills, payments and deposits already in the books; reconcile to the cent; keep the report.
