Thinking of leaving QuickBooks Online?
ApexLedger was built for the firm that keeps books for many clients: one price per person instead of one subscription per company, the accountant's tools in the same file, and every byte in Canada.
What changes for a firm
- One subscription per person, not per client company. A firm with 40 clients pays for its people, not for 40 files.
- The accountant's year end lives in the same file as the daily books: GIFI, T2 working papers, workpapers, sign-off.
- Bank statement PDF import for the clients who still send paper statements.
- Hosted in Canada Central with backups in Canada East; nothing leaves the country.
Moving over
- Export the Account List and the Journal or General Ledger reports from QuickBooks Online (or the Chart of Accounts and Account Transactions from Xero) as Excel, and import them directly; no conversion first.
- QuickBooks Desktop IIF files import too.
- Customers, vendors, opening balances and history arrive with the transactions; reconcile the first bank statement and carry on.
What stays familiar
- Invoices, bills, Receive Payment, Make Deposit, bank rules, reconciliation, reports with drill-down, Excel and PDF export.
- A Help & Tutor that walks new staff through every screen on the real page.
